Sue Pruss totally loses all sense of time when immersed in her glass studio. She’ll look at a beautiful new sheet of glass and begin to imagine. Sometimes the texture or pattern ‘tells’ her what to create. Other times, it’s the blending of colors. But the most rewarding aspect of all, is the organic approach she takes in her creations. This piece was inspired by Pruss’s recent visit to Iceland. Each of the beautiful “puddles” of glass consists of 9 layers of glass. The puddles are first created and then fused. Then in the second step, they are carefully placed to create interest.
