Evening Peace
Sue Pruss totally loses all sense of time when immersed in her glass studio. She’ll look at a beautiful new sheet of glass and begin to imagine. Sometimes the texture or pattern ‘tells’ her what to create. Other times, it’s the blending of colors. But the most rewarding aspect of all, is the organic approach she takes in her creations.
Each branch and tree truck is hand pulled by flame working a long glass rod. The piece is then created by working from the background to the foreground in multiple kiln firings thereby creating a look of realism and depth. The piece is then showcased in a custom frame.
