The freedom Linda Welch has found in alcohol ink art has its genesis in the magnificent colors and joy that surrounds her in Door County. Marigold Mosaic is inspired by the multitude of hues found in the beautiful scenery that surround her during summer.
Alcohol inks are brightly colored, acid-free, dye based paints that create free flowing textures and design. They are fast drying and evaporate quickly, requiring a non-porous surface such as synthetic paper, ceramic tile, or a specially prepared canvas. This piece has been sealed with 3 coats of Lamar Varnish and UV archival protection.
